Healing with Common Herbs (3)

Red Shiso
We have now understood that
a herb garden is actually a "medicine box".

Here, we discuss how should we "design"
this "medicine box"
ie. what herbs are essentials in our garden?

As most herbs that we grow in the garden
have relatively short life span,
the functions of these herbs
are mostly likely inclined towards detoxification.

It's not a bad idea to design
a medicine box which
mainly do detoxification.
This is because in traditional healing,
detoxification often is a pre-requisite for most prescriptions.

In holistic healing,
there are two important systems that need to be detoxified:

Intestine and Liver

To address the above requirements,
there are 3 families of herbs
that we should grow in our gardens:

(A) Mint family
E.g. Peppermint, Shiso, Rosemary, Thai Basil, Tulasi, Cat Whiskers (leaf, stem & flower)

This family of herbs help to cleanse the Large Intestines, and help purgation.
Due to some established TCM concepts,
Large Intestine and Lung systems are directly associated,
mint family will naturally detoxes the lung system too

(B) Hibiscus family
E.g. Red hibiscus (flower), White hibiscus (flower&leaf), Lady Finger(fruit), Roselle(fruit),

This family of herbs are known to be slightly laxative,
therefore, they help in small and large intestinal health.
Very often a choked up digestive system,
bring about fever, dirty blood and bad skins,
Hisbiscus family is hence good in bringing down fever,
and improving skin quality.

(C) Chrysanthemum family
E.g. Chrysanthemum (flower), chamomile (flower), ulam raja/cosmos (flower and leaf), mugwort (leaf), TongHao (leaf),

This family of herbs are good at detoxifiying the liver,
and therefore can mitigate high blood pressure, sore throat,
infections, inflammation and eye problems.

The above 3 families of detoxing herbs usually can be grown with ease.

When our gardening skills mature,
we could also try growing

(D) Ginger family
E.g. Ginger (root), Galangal (root), Turmeric(root),

to perfect the "collection".

This family of herbs will take 9-11months to grow,
and require soil which is rich and fertile.
-- 3 characters are hinted, root, age and minerals.
Hence we know these herbs are good for building life force!
Whenever we feel any form of disorder just start sets in,
ginger or tumeric roots are always a good remedy!
Ginger family goes very well any of the above detoxing family
to balance the Yin and Yang, or
to mitigate any overpowering detoxifying effects.

The numbers of herbs we "should" grow in our garden
is basically endless.

But with the blessings of only 4 types of herbs above,
a lot of common sicknesses could be quickly attended to.0

Next, we will study a little deeper,
how a lot of modern ailments can be creatively remediated
using the 4 family of herbs from our garden. Stay tuned :)

Best wishes,
Kee Yew

Healing with Common Herbs (2)

Other than identifying
Manifestation
of life force
from a seed

through the forms of the herbs,
whether they enhance life force or detoxify interferences,
there are also some other characters
that provide some tips:

Life Force Enhancing herbs are often:

. firm and tough in appearance
    e.g. lotus seed, astragalus root

. "aged" (either biological age or fermented age)
    e.g. 7yr ginseng, 20yr lingzhi, 3yr hatcho miso

. very rich in minerals/salty
e.g.  ginseng, macadmia, goma-shio (salted black sesame)

Detoxifying herbs are often:

. soft and easy to tear
e.g. mulberry leaves, fresh oyster mushroom, ulam raja

. watery or juicy (succulent)
    e.g. pear, pumpkin, aloe vera

. bitter or astringent in taste
    e.g. phyllanthus, moringa leaves, basil

. aromatic, pungent or spicy
    e.g. chilli, cumin, cinnamon

Thanks to the wonderful spectrum
of herbs/plants in this world,
we now understand that
we have never been deprived of good medicines.

Basically, when we are unwell,
we first need to know whether
we are in need of
.life force replenishing?
.detoxification? or
.sometimes both?

Then anything around us that fit the criteria
will help.

For instance,
if one is feeling unwell, having cold hand and cold feet,
then one may want to consume some astragalus
which is a root, rich in minerals, tough in appearance.

If astragalus is not available,
it's not a bad idea to consume shio-goma
which is tough black sesame seeds toasted with sea salt that is rich in minerals.

In situation where somebody has been constipated for 4days,
he may need to consider taking
Aloe vera
which is succulent, soft leaf , bitter in taste

or

Mint
which is aromatic, easy to tear, leaf structure astringent in taste

Possibilities are many!

This is also why we should always have
a herbal garden ever readily accessible
wherever we live.

Herbal garden is our first aid medicine box.
We shall discuss this further in the next post,
on what essential herbs/plants we should have in the garden :)

Many Blessings To All!!

Healing with Common Herbs (1)

Fresh Herbs from Garden
Gone is the era
we entrusted our health and wellness management
to professionals and modern medical system
which are now corrupt and unscrupulous.

Now is the time
we reclaim the authority of
personal wellness management and
relearn the fundamentals of natural healing.

In contrary to many brain-washing narratives
propagated by pharmaceutical-centric systems,
healing is far from being a rocket science.

This is especially true when we deal with common herbs
for natural healing of common ailments.

First, we need to understand the two major functions of herbs
and the types of herbs associated:

(A) Improvement of Life Force
In healing, there are situations where
the patients are sick because of the deficiency of life force.
Life force is the driver and coordinator of life,
hence when deficient of Life Force,
the patients lack healing power to re-organise their health,

In such cases,
replenishing life force is the logical step.
This infers on herbs that provide life force.
Herbs that provide life force can be identified
from their forms of:

i. Root
E.g. Ginger, Turmeric, Astragalus, Dongquai, Kudzu, Maca

and

ii. Seed
E.g. Lotus seed, Walnut, Almond, Black Sesame, Purple Rice, Petai (stinky bean)

The herbs above are generally beneficial for ailments which are associated to

. Poor peristalsis
. Poor sleep
. Poor Immunity
. Hormonal imbalance
. Infertitity/gynecological  disorders
. Weak/Cold limbs
. Cold cough/Asthma
. Depression
and other symptoms that show the lack of life coordination.

(B) Detoxification of Interference
Another major group of sickness
is often due to intoxication and blockages in bodily systems.

When the bodily systems are interfered by toxins and blockages,
the basic operations of the system will naturally spell troubles.

The logical solution would be
the removing of the toxins and blockages
or in more common term, detoxification.

Herbs that detoxify can be identified from their forms of:

. Leaf
E.g. Basil, Mint, Mulberry leaves, Pandan, Guava leaves, Kaduk, Ulam Raja, Chinese Tea

. Stem
E,g, Lotus root, Cilantro, Parsley, Celery

. Flower
E.g. Rose, Chrysanthemum, Hibisbus flower, Papaya flower

. Fruit
E.g. Roselle, Kedondong, Mulberries, Hawthorn, Lime

The herbs above are generally beneficial for ailments which are associated to:

. Constipation
. Bloating
. Fever
. Gall/kidney stones
. High blood pressure/glucose/cholesterol
. Dry cough
. Food/Drugs poisoning
and other symptoms that suggest "choking"/disruption of bodily systems

Next, we will discuss futher on other general traits of herbs
to help understand their healing functions

(to be continued...)

Well regards,
Kee Yew

Dark Tea as Basic Household Medicine

Liu Bao Tea
Some 8 years ago,
I met a tea connoisseur,
Mr Henry Yau and owner of Cha Zhi Ji.
He educated me about the art and science of tea,
and got me very interested in dark tea
(especially LiuBao Tea).

During years of learning from Mr Yau,
I gathered that dark tea has traditionally been serving as
commoners' household medicine since ancient China,
as it helps digestion, detoxifies our body and tames inflammation.

Modern research publications also have revealed more evidences
how dark tea could also
reduce blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol
on top of its anti-cancer and anti-microbial effects.

It's unfortunate that we are now living in a world where
pharmaceutical drugs are abused,
herbal healings are surpressed,
medical systems are corrupt.

Hence, dark tea could be a humble way out
to bypass the predicaments above,
and to provide avenues for prevention/treatment of
modern diseases/disorders
from indigestion, diabetes, cardviovascular disorders, cancers,
to microbial infections
to intoxication
to neurological disorders.

While all teas are known for its adverse effects
on stomach (due to tannin)
and sleep (due to caffeine),
knowing how to select for good quality dark tea
is imperative if we would like to adopt dark tea
for long term consumption
as preventive care and
as a basic household medicine.

According to Henry,
selecting good quality dark tea
with less tannin and caffeine,
being gentle to stomach and sleep,
have to fullfil the following criteria:

1. Centrury-old tea tree:
The older the tea tree, the more life force it has.
With stronger life force,
the tea tree does not need to produce much caffeine and tannin
which are meant for the tree's self defence.

2. Grown on highlands:
Growing on highlands with a colder climates,
the tea trees get less attack from pests
which stimulate the production of tannin and caffeine for self defence.

3. Grown organically, without pesticides
Pesticides in unknown mechanism,
bring about in tea leaves,
substances that attack the stomach.

4. Long time aging
Longer aging of dark tea represents
more beneficial microbial fermentation.
The microbial activities reduces substances
which are harmful to the stomach and neurological system,
rendering more comfortable effect after drinking.

Based on the above criteria,
the good quality dark tea selected
will not only avoid adversities on the stomach and sleep,
it will also be very high in life force.
And life force is key driver of all self healing.

I hope this simple message
can get across the world
to help people realise
good medicine can be relatively cheap and accessible,
despite the threats and fears cooked up daily through immoral media,
by the corrupt complex of
the commercial, medical, academic and polictical systems.

May all be well!

By good will,
Kee Yew

Dark Tea as Basic Defence in Unusual Time

Dark Tea
A while ago, I sent some messages to my dear friends,
reminding them
despite the Cobid crime seems to be easing
we must not be complacent to continue
to protect ourselves with daily intake of fermented dark tea.

The dark tea applies to both
waxed and non waxed individuals,
as we are being exposed daily varied dosages of
Spi proteins one way or another.

In other words,
we are being exposed to elevated level of toxins daily,
and fermented dark tea can serve as good antidote.
Dark tea neutralises many toxins,
tames down inflammation,
inhibits virel replication and
mitigate clottings.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Suggestion on daily dark tea consunmption routine:

Brew in thermal flask
5g(or 2teaspoon) of fermented dark tea leaves
with boiling hot water 500-1000ml.

Decant from thermoflask and sip hot slowly during the day

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Examples of dark teas are:

LiuBao Tea
PuEr Tea
Earl Grey Tea
English Breakfast Tea

If possible, get organic versions, for long term consumption
to avoid unnecessary complications from pesticides.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Some important remarks of tea drinking:

*The more aged the dark tea(say above 10years), the higher the potency.

*Do not drink the tea cold, sip hot, pour from thermal flask

*Do not drink near meal time, as dark tea prevents nutrients absorption.

*Avoid drinking tea at late night to avoid affecting sleep among some individuals.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

P/s: these engineered Spi proteins and Spi protein harbouring vireses, are capable of:

1. Inducing inflammation (that kick starts many diseases)

2. Lowering immunity of the hosts (aggravating just any diseases)

3. Inducing prion-like diseases that eventually lead to exponential proteins clottings

We should not take the above lightly at all
as consequences can detrimental down the years.

But neither we should lock ourselves down again.
Ultimately, it is our own responsibilities to fortify our own defence,
not blaming on others passing on the bugs/toxins.

Many blessings to Humanity,
Kee Yew
