Learning effectively with the right techniques

I was in Kiyosaki's workshop a month ago
and was delighted to come across this
Cone of Learning.

It depicts the types of learning method
and the corresponding retention rates of
what being learnt after 2 weeks:

This explains why the style
of modern teachings encourages a lot of
interaction, participation and practicals.

From the Cone of Learning,
it's not hard to comprehend the importance of
putting what learnt in practice immediately;
also, why simply reading a lot of books or attending a lot seminars
does not necessarily make one much wiser and fulfilled in one's life :)
